Monday, November 15 – 5:00pm-7:00pm
Plan to arrive early Monday and network with other education and training peers, industry experts and Skilljar “Skillets” prior to Connect officially kicking off. Come join us for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, fun networking activities, and prizes.
What can you do before you arrive?
The Skillbar is staffed with Skilljar product, support and implementation experts to assist you with your product, education program and training questions. While the Skillbar will be open during specific hours at the conference, we encourage everyone to reserve time ahead of the start of the conference to ensure you get the right expert to answer your questions. You may select a specific individual or a general department to assist you. If you are unsure of who you want to speak to, we will connect you to the team member we feel best suited to meet your needs.
Each day we will have three different breakout sessions for you to choose from. You will pick one breakout session per day. You can learn more about each of the breakout sessions here.
On day 2, you will have the opportunity to network and brainstorm in roundtable sessions. Each attendee will be able to attend three roundtables. You can learn more about all of the roundtable topics and sign up for your three roundtables here.
While we are in wine country, we want to ensure that each of you get a unique experience to take it all in. We have a variety of activities for you to choose from⎼including some non-wine activities. Our activities have limited spacing and are reserved on a first come, first served basis. We will try to accommodate your preferences as best as possible.
This is our first in-person event, so we are taking every precaution to ensure everyone’s health and safety. As part of our commitment to the safety at Skilljar Connect, all Connect attendees must provide proof of vaccination and/or a negative COVID test result within 72 hours of arriving. If you are vaccinated, you can upload your vaccination card now. We have included detailed instructions for uploading your COVID documentation here. PLEASE NOTE: You will not be able to check in for Connect, nor attend any event activities until you have uploaded either a COVID vaccination card and/or a negative COVID test result.
We are asking that all attendees please upload your COVID Vaccination card, or negative test result before arriving to Connect. You will do this by creating a profile via the Health Pass by CLEAR App. At registration, we will be using Health Pass by CLEAR, which provides secure, digital proof of COVID-related health insights via the free CLEAR mobile app:
- App Link: https://clear.app.link/EFAttendee14
- Connect Event Code: EFATTENDEE14
You will need this app and a cleared “greenlight” profile in order to check-in for Connect. All attendees will need to complete your health screening with Health Pass by CLEAR ahead of time for expedited check-in and entry. You will need this step to be completed prior to arriving at the conference as event staff will not let you register until you have the “greenlight” from the CLEAR Healthpass app.
Additional COVID protocol includes a daily morning text message asking you to answer some basic health questions. In order to enter the event each day, you will have to show our Connect staff members your “green checkmark” screen from your mobile device and we will provide you with an “all clear” sticker on your badge. Your name badge with this “all clear” sticker is required for admission to all events. We ask that while indoors, all attendees wear their masks except when actively eating or drinking.
What To Pack
The average high in Sonoma in November is 66° and the average low is 41°. It is good to check the weekly forecast before leaving for your trip, but you should plan for chilly days and evenings.
Dress code at Connect 2021 is business casual. Please note: Meeting room temperatures are unpredictable and not under our control. For your comfort, we suggest that you bring a sweater or jacket in case the meeting rooms are cold.
Connect staff will be starting each day early with yoga if anyone is interested in partaking in this activity (not a requirement). If you want to start out your day with some networking exercise, we recommend bringing any workout gear you would feel comfortable in. The hotel does have multiple year-round hot spring, geo-thermal mineral pools, so if you want to take a break by the pool, be sure to pack a swimsuit!
Connect 2021 is planning an outdoor dinner and 80s party for Tuesday, November 16. There is no required dress code for this dinner, but if you want to bring a little something from the 80s, feel free! We will have fun 80s accessories for everyone!
