A new year means new growth opportunities, and that includes the team here at Skilljar. That’s why we’re thrilled to share that Kathy Lord has joined the Skilljar family as Chief Revenue Officer. Kathy brings more than 25 years of sales and executive management experience at startups and major software companies. She has a long track record of sales accomplishments, including leadership roles at Intacct/Sage, Proofpoint, Biz360, and Trading Dynamics/Ariba. Her mission at Skilljar will be to build out the sales team and drive the next stage of growth for the company.
We sat down with Kathy to learn a little bit more about her!
What three words would you use to describe yourself?
Fun, passionate, and, even-keeled
What would we most likely find you doing on a weekend?
I am pretty easy to find as I am either at the barn riding my horse or at the ice rink with my son who lives for hockey.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, we have 4 fish, a 5-month-old red labrador retriever puppy, and a horse.
Are you an early bird or night owl?
Early bird for sure as I spent the last 1.5 years managing a team mostly based in the UK.
Tea or coffee?
Both! It depends on the time of day…coffee in the am, tea during the day and coffee after dinner…but usually both are decaf…
What’s something that’s on your bucket list?
Spending a year traveling wherever the wind takes me
If you could wake up tomorrow and be an expert in something, what would it be?
Equestrian show jumping for sure!
