I’m very excited to welcome Linda Schwaber-Cohen to the Skilljar team as our new Training Manager! Linda comes from an education background and will be sharing her learned best practices to help our own customers be even more successful with their training programs.
We’re also very excited to announce that Linda will be creating a brand new Skilljar learning center for our customers! She will be showing off all the bells and whistles of what Skilljar can do, and we’re looking forward to leading the way our customers and other companies deliver customer training.
Q: What three words would you use to describe yourself?
A: Passionate, inquisitive, chatty
Q: What’s your favorite place to visit in Seattle?
A: Discovery Park. There’s so much space to roam, amazing air and great views of the water and the mountains!
Q: Tea or coffee?
A: Coffee (light, not sweet).
Q: What’s the one thing you can’t live without?
A: My adorable pups – Nisha, Oogie and Pinky!
Q: What inspires you?
A: I’m inspired by seeing the positive impact that my work has on others and the world around me.
Q: How did you first hear about Skilljar, and what interested you about the company?
A: I met Sandi a couple of years ago and being in the training field myself, I have always been interested in local companies in the space. When I heard that this position was available, I was really excited! What could be better than a Training Manager role for a training platform?! I am thrilled to be able to work at a company where I relate so much to the customer.
Q: Describe your last experience with online learning.
A: I love online learning and the ability to learn anything, anywhere, anytime. Most recently, I was learning some SQL basics. While watching content, I always find it amazing how some solid planning and enthusiastic delivery can make such a difference for learners, especially with video.
Q: If you were going to offer a course online, what would it be about?
A: Probably customer onboarding and training best practices. Yessss – I get to do that here!
